I'm a tee shirt & jeans kind of gal, through and through; but when I found out about the Freely Given Movement and what they were doing to help out our community through their tees, I instantly wanted to share their story on the blog.
When I first started researching this local Kansas City company, I was overwhelmed by the true passion they had for their community and the people in it. Spreading love and rallying behind those in need, this movement is all about helping families get through difficult situations by the sales of their limited edition apparel, (designed by local artists).
'Our Mission:
Freely Given is a social enterprise created to rally community behind families in crisis through the power of social media and the sale of uniquely designed apparel.'
'The Freely Given Movement exists to help identify and be a voice for local families that have found themselves in the midst of a valley, an unexpected crisis. The Freely Given Movement gives their neighbors, friends, family and complete strangers the opportunity to come alongside their fellow Kansas Citians in order to build a unified community of love, encouragement, and support.'
'Our hope is that you will join with us to freely give - one family, one need, one story at a time.'
It's incredibly hard for me to put in to words how much I admire this company and what they're doing in our community; but I feel blessed to be able to share the good word, even on the smallest of scales. Thank you Freely Given Movement for spreading love the way you do.
Happy Monday all!
