I owe a million thank you's to the crew at Made in KC for making the last three months VERY enjoyable! At the first of each month, I received a beautifully packaged box of coffee from a local roaster that they've partnered with; (one of which I had never tried and two that have been a long time favorite!) This was such a convenient way to explore different roasts. Plus, I'm the only one in my household that drinks coffee daily, so it allowed me to be a little more creative with my morning brew.
I love a classic cup of coffee, but recently I came across a product that I wanted to give a try in an iced latte. I knew my last bag of coffee from Made in KC would work perfect for an iced drink, (It was Maps Coffee # Black, which is the darkest roast they make), so I used that for my special concoction!
The special ingredient for this specific drink is Bee Local's Honey Water, which I found at Tyler Kingston. This is SUPER easy to make, and very very tasty. You can use whatever version of creamer you'd like, (this round I used a coconut milk creamer from So Delicious). I had made a fresh pot of coffee & stuck it in the fridge until cooled, then added a small splash of honey water, a decent pour of my coconut creamer and a gave it a good shake! I love these simple, guilt free ingredients that make up this latte. Pair with your favorite treats, and enjoy! (I recommend any form of sweets from Carollo's Gourment Grocery in the City Market).
What are some of your favorite coffee concoctions? I would love to hear below in the comments! (Always looking for fun ideas to spice up my morning fuel!)
