Today was really, really special. 99% of it wasn't planned; and it was awesome. Sometimes, I put too much pressure on myself to plan out my day & try to capture everything with my 'fancy' camera, which in turn causes me to not live in the moment.
I started my day out with breakfast with a sweet gal pal at McLain's Bakery, (which I had never been to before). We were able to sit and catch up for a couple hours, and it was so refreshing to be in a new space with an old friend. *Side note, it was delicious and so beautiful inside. Bought an almond croissant & cinnamon roll to go, and I cannot wait to go back and stock up on mini cupcakes.
I couldn't leave Overland Park without going to Hand & Land, (I don't make it out that way very often), so I treated myself to a new natural face wash. (I have never been more excited about a face wash in my whole life). One of my all time favorite shops in KC!
My day took me to Heartland Nursery in Lees Summit next, (they have a great succulent selection), and I drooled over fiddle leaf fig trees & pencil cactus. (And if that's wrong, I don't wanna be right).
I ended my day at Post Coffee, reading a new book that I cannot put down + my new found love of cortado's! (Why did it take me so long to drink one of these?!)
Today was so needed & highly recommend keeping spontaneous days tucked in your pockets as often as possible. I hope you all had a perfect start to your weekends today!
